In-house engineering team

Our in-house engineering centre develops comprehensive technical solutions tailored to the specific needs of each customer and project, from calculations to production documentation.

 

Complete engineering process

MICo has its own engineering centre, which implements complete technical solutions according to customer requirements. This includes the following areas:

  • technical assessment of customer needs
  • thermal-hydraulic calculation
  • strength calculation
  • structural design
  • production documentation
  • welding documentation
  • quality management documentation
  • original technical documentation

We also process production documentation for the implementation of orders according to the customer's design documentation.

Design standards

In accordance with customer requirements, we design equipment in line with global design standards for pressure equipment:

  • EN 13445
  • ASME – Section VIII., Div. 1
  • AD 2000 Merkblatt
    In accordance with Directive PED 2014/68/EU

We have experience with TEMA, HEI, API 660, EN 1090-2 Steel Structures, EN 12952 Water Tube Boilers, and other standards.

We design equipment and prepare production documentation in accordance with Czech and foreign legislation and regulations for nuclear energy.

Design software

We mainly use the following software:

  • HTRI (Thermohydraulic Design)
  • VVD (Strength design EN13445, AD-2000, ASME VIII Div.1)
  • PVESS (Strength design ČSN 690010)
  • SolidWorks Professional (3D CAD)

All necessary certifications

CE Industries Energy Division at the SMR workshop in Temelín

On 9 June, representatives of MICo and Chemcomex attended a technical workshop at the Temelín Nuclear Power Plant, together with other leading Czech suppliers and experts from Rolls-Royce SMR. The aim was to familiarise participants with plans for the construction of small modular reactors (SMRs) and the requirements that key partners will have to meet. This new technology is also an opportunity for MICo.
