Czech industry is to be the backbone of new nuclear construction. MICo is ready!

The extension of the Dukovany nuclear power plant is one of the most significant infrastructure projects in the history of the Czech Republic. The involvement of Czech industry in this strategic investment was the main topic of the Czech-Korean nuclear conference.

Czech industry is to be the backbone of new nuclear construction. MICo is ready!

What can MICo offer?

MICo s.r.o. has many years of experience in manufacturing key equipment for secondary circuits in nuclear power plants. For the new units of the Dukovany nuclear power plant, it is capable of manufacturing and supplying, in particular:

  • Steam condenser
  • Low-pressure and high-pressure regenerative heaters
  • Pressure vessels and steel structures

Czech industry and KHNP: Opportunity at 60%

At the last Czech-Korean nuclear conference, the Czech side was assured that if Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power (KHNP) is selected as the supplier, Czech industry will be given the opportunity to supply up to 60% of construction and technology contracts between 2025 and 2039.

This would represent not only a huge investment opportunity, but also a major boost for Czech employment, innovation and the retention of know-how in the field of nuclear engineering.

Czech companies that manufacture in Czechia, pay taxes and insurance, see the construction of the fifth and sixth units in Dukovany as a great opportunity – after all, the completion is being talked about as the project of the century.
